![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Rice Hey Guys, I often find myself eating Pasta as opposed to Rice as I find it much easier to cook. However, I am starting to think that I would find Rice much easier to eat? How long does it take to actually cook rice, and how do you guys do it? Cheers. |

Rinse the rice to get any excess starch out Put the rice & water on a low/moderate heat until simmering Let the water evapourate - ie there is no water in the bottom of the pan but so the rice isn't crackling - don't stir or mix the rice Once the water has gone turn the heat off and put a plate over the pan Wait about 5 mins and you'll have perfect rice. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Rice 1. Cup of rice (washed) 2. Put in large pan. 3. Add water till it just covers the rice. 4. Put cling film over then top and put lid on(this helps keep the steam in). 5. Put it straight on simmer. 6. Go watch tv, making sure to check 7. If if the water dries up just pour a little cold water on the rice. 8. Replace the cling if needed Takes about 25 mins to cook but it works, I put a tin of red kidney beans in at the start and a little coconut cream. |
