can i ask...

i try to eat the right thing most of the time, but i work on building sites an its too hard to cook stuff on my breaks, (30 mins)
Im just wandering what there is i can prepare the night before or in the morning that will last the day. i have a break at 9.30 an 12.30 for 30mins.

i have my protien shakes in morning, afternoon an after i train an one bout 3 hours after that but its just the food i gotta get right.

Has any one got any ideas for me?? any help would be great.

Cheers

Re: can i ask...

What you need to ask is what you cant prepare the night before for the day.

Meat with Rice or Pasta is a standard one, keeps fine, tastes good, but the options are really only limited by your imagination.

Re: can i ask...

As nytol mentioned, i too cook my food before hand. I use those little cool bag things that hold the ice packs to keep everything fresh, i also use a thermos flask for hot water if i need it and one to keep my shakes cold.

You can also buy tupperware tubs that can be frozen overnight, your food will stay fresh in that all day long.

I do not use them at the moment but have in the past and got fantastic gains with raw eggs, above and beyond just their protein content.

Use whole eggs though, not that egg white $hit.

Rump steak casserole, love the stuff especially during the cold months, i make a huge panful and transfer to plastic trays the chinese came in, then freeze, i find this a good way to get my veg too, i'll be the first to admit i don't eat enough fruit and veg.

Re: can i ask...

How do raw eggs change the flavour? More creamy? Does it mix better?

I'm tempted, but the thought of a raw egg makes me want to gag...

You could mix them in plain milk mate, and hardly notice them, I used to do 6 eggs to one pint at one time.

But if you add a spoonful of Nesquick you truly have no idea they are there.

Be sure to blend them though, you don't want snotty white slipping down your throat, :puke:

No milk for me!

Might try it in my normal shake when I have time to blend one morning!
