Bulking Diet

Hi,

I am on a bulking diet at the minute and it is as follows:

Meal 1
07:00
Bowl of porridge, banana, WHEY with water, vitamin C and cod liver oil supplements
Meal 2
10:00
Nutri Grain Bar
Meal 3
12:00
Jacket potato with tuna and salad
Meal 4
3:00
Bag of nuts
Meal 5
7:30
Pasta with boiled egg, tuna and salad
Meal 6
9:00
WHEY with milk

I am finding it hard to stick to as my mum doesn't like cooking me the same meal each night. Would these alternatives for the 7:30 meal be OK?
  • Scrambled/Fried egg on toast and a banana
  • Beans on Toast
  • Fish fingers, chips and peas
I know these are probably really bad meals but could anyone suggest meals similar to this that are good for my diet.

Also at around 5:00 I am on my way home from work and pass tesco. At the moment I am going in and getting half a French baguette but believe there will be something much better. Can anyone suggest a small, easy snack I could buy rather than bread?

Thanks

Re: Bulking Diet

For your 7.30 meal try varying it with more meats such as chicken, steak, turkey also shove in a load of veg or maybe rice.

Re: Bulking Diet

Ok, my family don't really eat much meat so they do not really cook it.

Will Tuna do?

Re: Bulking Diet

First id cut out the nutribar and peanuts. Replace them with just Protein like a shake, salmon, chicken, lamb etc. Have them 2 meals with a handful of Almonds for your good fats.

Can't see more than 150g absolute max of protein there myself. Other than the nutrigrain bar, the food selections are good.

Meal 2 and 4 need to be more substantial. A grilled chicken sandwich for meal 2 and something like a couple of eggs in addition to the nuts at meal 4 might work.

Also, when do you train? Can't see any PWO nutrition.

Stats are always helpful.

Re: Bulking Diet

Yes I am.

I am a begginer and only been training for around 3-4 weeks so far. I am also 16 years old still at school so my meals between 8 and 6 are limited.
