Re: Advice on curbing cravings for crap food

You need to control your blood sugar levels by eating plenty of low GI, high fibre and protein foods regularly so that you never get hungry and are tempted to eat the wrong food.

Another method is to make sure you don't have easy access to it, if I have chocolate in the fridge, it speaks to me, so I don't have chocolate in my fridge any more

Chromium supplementation helps stabilise blood sugars too.

Re: Advice on curbing cravings for crap food

I think that it is like an addiction, your body craves the fat and sh1te carbs etc. so time is the greatest healer. I have cut out a lot of the rubbish I used to eat, and on the odd occasion I have Chinese (last night!) my guts cant handle the amount of fat in it, whereas I used to be able to eat the stuff for fun.

Re: Advice on curbing cravings for crap food

Is it at night your craving them? Make sure you have a serving of oats with a protein shake (maybe some cottage cheese or peanut butter aswell) & your laughing. I never used to have carbs before bed, but I sleep 10x better having a small amount before bed.

If it doesn't relate to night - it's willpower, mate. Nothing more, nothing less.

Look in the mirror. Seriously, if I'm at high bf and I crave carbs whilst dieting I stand in the mirror topless for a bit and the desire for cheat food vanishes, the lack of abs obliterates any craving lol. Or i might look at a photo of me at low bf or pics of a BB competition for motivation.

After a few weeks of dieting your blood sugar levels will become more constant anyway and the cravings will lesson. The longer you spend away from crap food the less you'll want it. I'm well into my diet and right now I can't even bring my self to have a cheat meal.
