![]() | Need advice on what to eat Hey guys, i need advice on what to eat throughout the day, so far im eating: Breakfast - porridge and banana with a pint of water Snack - Banana and protein shake Lunch - Virtually anything with tuna or eggs Dinner - Chicken/fish/rice/jacket potato (whatever my mum is making seein as i live at home lol yet she is good with healthy eating and hardly ever makes fatty meals) Protein shake after workouts Basically i struggle with what to have for lunch and snacks - ive tried eating protein bars for snacks but i find they're too exensive to eat constantly and i cant afford to keep buying boxes of them. Ino the correct foods to have (although i need more ideas as im getting bored with eating the same things) its just doing different things with them. Can someone give me any ideas please. Thanks. |

Thats around 3800cals. Which for your bodyweight and height should be about right. Try it for a few weeks, if you notice yourself putting on more than say 2lbs a week of LEAN muscle then scale the carbs down 50g and the fats by around 5g. Can you make a diet based around those figures or do you need help? Last edited by ah24; 10-07-2007 at 07:32 PM. |

There are loads of posts all over this site and there are dozens of others like it. You need to understand why you are eating certain foods and you won't gain this understanding if a meal plan is just laid on a plate for your (forgive the pun). Take a look around and come back with a sample diet that is right for you. I'm sure AH will take time to help you out with it as will other people. Base it on AH's figures (although I think 2lbs per week is too much to aim for personally - I'd look at more like 2-3lbs per month if you want it lean).
