My 3 week trial diet plan

Hi everyone, just to start want to say thanks to Jimmy for the post on beginners diets, a very good read.

I'm going to go for 3 weeks of strick diet and training and want to see how i get on, from Jimmy's post i've slightly alterd his example diet (so i think i can realistically stick to it)

Just wondering if there is any thing you guys think i should add / remove

Meal 1
whole eggs x3? + whats the best way to have them?
oats in milk?
Apple

Meal 2
whey protein in milk
banana

Meal 3
tuna
salad
olive/flax oil
nuts

Meal 4
Baked beans
wholemeal toast
serving of whey
Fruit

Meal 5 PWO
whey protein in milk

Meal 6
steak
jacket potato
green veg
Fruit

Throughout the day I will drink 2/3 pints of water at least.
Everyother day I wil take creatine in fresh orange juice.
I will allow myself 1 'cheat' meal / night once a week

The things in bold are either what i have added or a question!
I'm going to go shopping tomorrow and stock up with everything required.

This will be the first strick diet i have ever been on and i know it will be difficult.

Any advice/alteration/comments welcome

Thanks

Re: My 3 week trial diet plan

Exactly how much (in grams) of each thing are you eating?

Re: My 3 week trial diet plan

mate, that is too little description for anyone to help you with.

I know you have posted many times on this board but what are your stats, goals etc.

Meal 1 - you say 2 bags of 100g of oats, WTF. 200g is too much mate. Are you talking about the individual sachets of oats?
They are balls mate, get some proper unflavoured basic porridge oats. Depending on your size, weight, goals etc you may need 50 - 100 g, who knows?

Use a food calculater (on the net) to work out what you need with regards weights of foods.

Re: My 3 week trial diet plan

Liam, that is not the best of diets mate.

Firstly, you have only two good sources of protein (solid food always better than whey shakes).

Meal one - very little protien there, maybe add some eggs or a protein shake.

meal 2 and 4 - try and substitue for real food, ie chicken, tuna etc.

meal 3 and 5 - thats it mate, try and replicate this 4 times throughout the day!!!!

meal six - try and have a slow release protien here. Micellar Casein, cottage cheese etc.

Re: My 3 week trial diet plan

Ok in stead of 3 whey proteins a day i'll go to two and have another chicken breast and salad in its place.

I'm going to get myself some cottage cheese been wanting some for before bed. do you just eat it straight from the tub? doesn't sound tastey to me! lol

Re: My 3 week trial diet plan

look at the values of these foods. Try and work out the weights/amounts needed, that way you wont over or under eat.

2 eggs is going to be about 10 - 15g protein. Why not try 6 eggs instead, seriously.

Also, use plain porridge, blend it so it becomes fine and add it to your whey. Hey presto, a decent weight gainer shake!!!

Re: My 3 week trial diet plan

yep sorry mate - to begin with weigh everything. Get to know what you are eating and how much.

Also, more importantly, get to know WHY you are eating it. It then becomes so much more clearer and easier to continue.
