Re: cheat meals

adam, it depends on what you are training for. What are your goals and your exercise levels.

If you are competing soon and you are currently dieting down then the cheat meals should be phased out in favour of an ultra clean diet. However, if you are looking for general fitness and muscle gain then the occassional cheat meal is fine. I have about 2 cheat ,meals a week which consist of pizza, chinese, indian etc. I always make sure there is some good protein in there though!!!

Re: cheat meals

As Leeston said.

Although, if your having 45 meals a week, 3 cheat meals out of 45 is fuk all is it?...

It's not a high enough percentage to even touch the sides really.

Re: cheat meals

just ensure that your expenditure of energy remains high. Make sure you are doing the cardio to enable your metabolism to be firing on all cylinders.

Re: cheat meals

I eat the same diet all week, apart from a saturday night when I have either home cooked, chilli, bolognese etc, or a takeaway (normally curry or chinky)...
On a sunday I may have a roast also.....

Re: cheat meals

I have a cheat meal on a wednesday and the whole of saturday off. Even when ive lost lots of weight in the past i have always done this and i think as long as your doing cardio and training properly and eating well the rest of the time it works a treat.

I have friends who rarely have a cheat but i cant live that way. I love training and tryhing to look good but i also like my food and the odd pint so i have now adopted the attitude of doing more cardio and having a bit of what i fancy now and again.

Re: cheat meals

I find that if i eat something greasy now like a burger or a pizza it makes me feel like **** the next day.

I try and stay as true to my diet as possible and use spices and fresh herbs to make it more palatable.

Re: cheat meals

yeah but if you stay ultra clean with your diet are you not more likely to stray when you least expect it.

I am not agreat lover of chocolate but sometimes I have a mad chocolate urge, I put it down to slight dehydration. What do you guys think as it has always puzzled me.

Like the man who visits a prostitute, I always feel guilty afterwards.
