My kids allergic to egg......

My two year old boy is allergic to eggs. Previously he has swollen and had hives. This week he had full on anaphylactic shock which required epipen and I night in hospital.

I currently eat circa 15 eggs a day and get most of my protein from this source. For my sons sake i am giving up egg.

Any avice on how to replace this protein? Will whey be as affective as the eggs have been? Any advice on cheap food sources. I'm on a real budget and eggs are quite cheap. I cannot replace with fresh salmon etc.

Cheers

Col

Cans/tins of Mackerel?

About 30p each. Can't remember off the top of my head, but it's something like 30g protein and obviously a good amount of EFA's.

For lean protein you can't beat chicken or turkey.

tuna + baked potatotuna/whoemeal pasta/wholemeal wrap/bread
sardines + ....

And the old favourite:

cottage cheese + whey, natural yogurt, berries + blender = easy drink meals
