Omega 3 DHA/EPA Ratio

I recently read that ideally an omega 3 supplement will contain a higher percentage of DHA compaerd to EPA.

However as most fish have a higher percentage of EPA most fish oil supplements also have more EPA than DHA.

I have only found 2 fish oil supplements with more DHA than EPA, those being the Biotest 'flameout' and chemical nutrition 'Pro Lipid'.

Is it worth taking this into consideration or should I just buy a typical fish oil supplement?

Secondly, the Pro Lipid Caps also have a large amount of Omega 6 (about 50/50 with the Omega 3) am I right in thinking that it is not necessary to supplement omega 6? Or have I got that completely wrong?

SO basically is it important to have more DHA than EPA?
And should I get a supp with Omega 6 in?

Re: Omega 3 DHA/EPA Ratio

EPA first then DHA last.
This is just fine, some recommend the DHA because of its effects on fat loss but to be honest I have read the most important one is the EPA.

But for mental patients it would be DHA due to its effects on the brain.

Don't worry about it just take the fish oils, no need to buy the most expensive ones either.
