![]() | PWO Drink Alright chaps, just a quick question. My training partners for their PWO drink, have a glass of coke (simple sugars to replenish glycogen stores) and then shortly after have a protein drink. I think it sounds quite good, what do you guys think? Thanks ![]() |

I used to take Dextrose + Maltodextrin + Whey concentrate. For the past 2 weeks I've switched to Vitargo and Whey Isolate. It doesn't fill me up as much, even though the macronutrients are the same as the previous shake, but now I can have my solid meal quicker. |

Pretty much, you are insulin sensitive after a workout. When you are young..............Like you chaps........... You can get away with the faster acting stuff.......... But if you eat guys, you will grow.... Whole foods are awesome....... Sure you can do the fast acting stuff, but..........It is compromised nutrition. Probably unless you are using insulin.... Why not sweet potato? Brown Rice? Oat's? I think the PWO fast acting carb thing is a myth. Whole foods is best......

Hmm Hackski mentioned this stuff Vitargo too, looks like a simple carb to me though lol! http://www.vitargo.com/Engelsk/Vitar...rodukt_eng.htm I was gonna swap my Dex for Waxy maize starch from mY protein http://www.myprotein.co.uk/bulk-powd...y-maize-starch , its claims are identical to those on the Vitargo website, osmality, absorption 70% better etc Have you tried both DB? Where do you get your Vitargo from? Cheers SD
