I was gonna swap my Dex for Waxy maize starch from mY protein http://www.myprotein.co.uk/bulk-powd...y-maize-starch , its claims are identical to those on the Vitargo website, osmality, absorption 70% better etc

Have you tried both DB? Where do you get your Vitargo from?

Re: PWO Drink

I never thought that fast acting carbs were the way to go anyway.
After all you are insulin sensitive following a workout.
I try all the time to make my self as insulin sensitive as possible this keeps me away from the old Type II diabetic deal.
That is why I take so many fish oils a day but not PWO.

I also think people take far too much simple sugars in the overall picture of things.

Many years ago I used to cycle bicycles and go on very long rides. I used (back then) glucose polymers.
I did this for replenishing glycogen stores in muscle.
Fructose supposidly is for restoring liver glycogen.

But I was riding many miles back then. We would eat oatmeal cookes and raisins

Maltodextrin has the same glycemic index as glucose and glucose polymers.
