Protein and Carbs

When taking a Protein shake between meals, how many Carbs should you take to stop Protein burning up. Is Fructose a good carb to add?

If you want carbs in it, try adding some oats. I took some of the experienced guys opinions on this and blended it in with a protein shake...and BINGO! Lovely....:beer1:

Protein and Oats is a great way to get a meal down. Blend the oats or if you are lazy buy super fine oats from bulkpowders. Add some flaxseed oil and you've got yourself a meal.

Drinking them with water isn't as good as drinking them with milk though.

If you want (mostly) protein meal - add just a little flaxseed oil.

Great ideas. Do oats not have to be cooked first to break them down so they can be digested properly?

Nope. I put the protein powder in my shaker along with the oats, add some water to cover and blend it (obviously using a blender).

I have unflavoured whey and mixed with oats tastes lovely. No need to add flavourings.
