I REALLY love mince. I also rate it. For some unknown reason, if I eat mince the night before I seem to be strong as a bull the next day?....

You can also make loads of lovely meals with it, i.e. mince burgers, spag bol, chilli etc.

It's for winners!

I eat Lean mince probably 3 or 4 days a week, with some wholemeal pasta. Love the stuff.

Suspect we'll hear the negative sides shortly as you dont hear many mention lean mince within their diets.

Great stuff, find a good butcher, it will be better and cheaper.

Buy 10-20lb at a time if you have a big enough freezer, freeze it in 1lb bags, and you'll save even more £.

I like it with Ragu, 'basil and oragano' sauce at the moment

In terms of diet, and based on the information many of the competitors on this site have posted, lean mince isn't included in a 'cutting' diet.

If you are looking to reduce bodyfat, maybe once, maximum twice a week will be ok, however I am sure lean protein sources (i.e. less fat) combined with low GI carb sources (sweet pots, oatmeal, rice etc) is the key to fat loss.

Nonetheless, the experienced dieters on the board will point you in the right direction mate.

Yes it will be fine, as long as you account for it, even lean mince will have more fat, and therefore more cal's than a bit of well trimmed sirloin, but as long as you know what you are eating it will be fine.

You could also get your butcher to grind up some chicken and turkey breast, once it is in a sauce you cant tell much difference.
