![]() | home made protein bars? i got this recipe of my girlfriends dad, he is not the brightest but he said it works mix and make porridge, one big bowl mix in whey 2 scoops with the milk, amounts up to you after the porridge is made pour it into a baking tray, bake on a low heat for a short time until the porridge is quite hard, otherwise the protein will be no good, then leave to stand in a fridge or i think you can just leave it to stand and let it go hard i have improvised this my gf's dad is scottish he said he used to make this by using porridge putting it in a draw letting it set and cutting the bars out for a snack each day add a bit of whey and its a protein bar! i am not sure though, i might try it later!

![]() ![]() ![]() | t-man, whey is already part digested, so temperatures over 65C denature it and remder it useless! So no cooking them!

![]() ![]() ![]() | ok, here is bigfells's legendry bars... 1 cup Natural peanut butter 8 tablespoons honey 1&1/4 cups whey protein powder 1 cup of uncooked oatmeal Mix the pb and honey in a bowl, microwave on full for 80 secs. Add the rest and mix together (get your hands in man!!) can add raisins/nuts etc to taste. Smooth into 13x9 tray and leave for 20 mins. Cut into 10 to 12 equal bars and wrap and store in fridge!! -------------------------------- I find them too high in sugars, so i use less honey and organic no added sugar PB.

| UK-Muscle Moderator | ah there is another recipe i was thinking of which you have to cook on a low heat for 15 minutes. think ill give it a miss though if it ruins the protein.
