 | Pancakes ? Good or Bad Hi there, Quick question for those in the know. Are pancakes a good meal or bad meal? I,m very bored of Porridge etc for Breakfast and was just wondring if pancakes would be a good Alternative. I,m currently trying to lose fat and gain lean muscle....aren,t we all. Ingrediants- 1 egg Plain Flour Water Lemon Juice Is there any harm in that? |

 | use wholemeal flour or even medium oat meal with a sprinkle of bran fibre...... or for carb control, ground almonds, or casien protien powder, anything instead of the flour mate....... white flour and product that use it are IMO not good.

  | i alternate between, all bran and porridge. only problem with the pancakes would be the flour i think.

 | its porridge-like, but not as monotonous. what about..... 50g ground almonds some dried fruit milk lowish carb (dependant on fruit chose, chopped fresh apple is best) good amount of healthy fats and some protein to boot! that combined with a protein shake has all bases covered

| thats a good one too Pete, but have you ever tried lightly toasting the ground almond and dried fruit, under the grill on a bit foil just for a few secs!!.... ooh its heaven,...... dont you just love brekky??? its the best, being laid in bed, empty for 7 or 8 hours gives, the imagination a proper shake up.......... int breakfast BRILLIANT!!!!?

| once theyre toasted what dyou do with em? then make em into muesli??? sounds a bit fancy to me  but yeah, breakfast is great!! found a recipe for protein pancakes yesterday, make em this mornin for brekkie and they were foul, spoilt my day! bastards, i aint gonna post THAT recipe for sure

When I eat pancakes I end up going to home and go to bed, that is how bad the insulin responce is to me.

| I bought that movie snatch. Also have lock stock and two smoking barrels. I had to buy them so I could watch them enough to understand what the hell was going on in the movie I get a kick out of all the subtle humor in Brit movies. It is pretty awesome. Our cultures are a bit diffrent and we are freaking stuffie here. Only a few appreciate humor like winger and myself. Hell, even your chicks have humor.
