What happens if you don't follow it through? What happens if you do? Dwell on it. Both the bad consequences and then the good. Exagerrate everything in your head....build a little picture of the worst outcomes of not following it through and let it sink in. . For examlpe..."If I dont get off my ass and get my training and diet on track, I'll never have the physical body I want, and people might never be able to see past that. I wont make friends, I wont be able to buy clothes that I like...I'll be sitting at home eating chips in a frumpy tracksuit crying and feeling sorry for myself whilst everyone else is living their lives..." Ouch! Then do the same for all the best possible outcomes. Make it as real as you can. I dont know you or why you train, or what matters to you so I have been really generic above. Make it personal when you think it over for real. From that, decide what you are going to do and try to encapsulate it in a short little phrase. Say it over a few times in your head. Say it out loud if you like. Believe it. Get used to hearing it. "I will..." "I HAVE TO"...."I AM becoming...." You'll soon feel better, just remind yourself why you're doing this, and what the best and worst outcomes could be, then commit to a plan of action and FFS ACT!

![]() | Re: Help\need a kick up the backside Wee G A fantastic response from a psychological point of view. We keep forgetting all the little hints, feelings and wants we have stem from the subconscious mind. We are not drawn to certain things in life out of fate, you have told your subconscious you like certain things, then it whispers those suggestions to you constantly without you even knowing. If you keep doubting yourself or telling yourself you are struggling you can convince yourself that you will fail. Think confidently, pride yourself in what you have achieved so far, be possitive and reach your goals. Seeing yourself in the future, the way you want to look is a perfect way to give yourself a goal to work towards. Keep seeing yourself that way everytime you train and you will get there. It's worked for me so far and it's going to keep working! |
