Sorry guys but yet another plea for help with diet...

Right where to start, hi first of all, my name is Jackie and I'm 44 yrs old. Current weight is 13st 7lb and i'm 5'1" tall, I've lost a total of 32lbs up to now but need some help on the best way to shift the rest quickly.

I've been on a sort of atkins type plan to lose the first bit, but I've gotta say I feel totally knackered all the time, so need to change it.

I'm due to have a major operation in may which is why the urgency, I need to lose about 28 in 4 weeks....is this possible??

I've just bought some whey protein powder and also take T5's before cardio in the morning.

I don't have time to go to the gym, out at work for 12 hours and have caring responsibilities at home too.

In the mornings I do 30 minutes on the cross trainer and then 20 minutes of pilates.

In the evenings I use a total gym for about 20/30 minutes also. I also have free weights and bench but not sure the best way to use them.

I do this routine every day.

What i need really is advice with what to eat to lose the weight fastest, do I eat carbs such as pasta and bread or just cut them out, and what is the best time for certain workouts.

I leave for work at 12pm and don't get home until after 11pm so will need to take meals with me.

I will be really grateful for any help/advice you guys can give me ;)

Thanks in advance

Jackie x

Re: Sorry guys but yet another plea for help with diet...

i reckon you should try a improvised carb cycling diet.
i helped a family freind lose 2stone in 3 weeks with this diet although she did go to the gym, i do think you can acheive your goal though.

Diet:
-4 egg whites 2 yolks scrambled(you can add a little low fat cheese for taste)
-1 scoop protein drink + 1 serving of seeds/nuts(plain) or 1 Tbsp Natty peanut butter (only contains peanuts)
-Tuna(1 tin) or 150g chicken + salad(loads of)
-1 scoop protein drink + 1 serving of seeds/nuts(plain) or 1 Tbsp Natty peanut butter (only contains peanuts)
-200g chicken or turkey + veg (twice a week have 200g salmon instead)

once a week maybe on a sat or sun eat whatever you want within reason this will help stimulate your metabolism again plus raise your leptin levels.
drink 4L of water per day.

supplements:
1g vit C
2 x B complex
2 x Multi Vit(am\pm)
a decent fatburner the T5 you have are very harsh though

Cardio:
i would increase the cardio slowly to 2 sessions of 30min 5 x week. or one session of 45min in the morning before meal 1

Training:
Try to workout with the weights you have 4 x week you can do basic movements....

hope this helps...

Re: Sorry guys but yet another plea for help with diet...

Thanks for the reply pscarb, just what I was hoping for.

Couple more questions, I have been taking omega 3 capsules 1 3x day, is it ok to still take these or leave them out for now?

Also, regarding the fat burner what would you recommend, I am coming to the end of the T5 and I have to say they make me very jittery lol.

Thank you again for your help.

Beklet i must of missed you thread i will take a look tonight

Jackie the omega 3 is fine but when you run out swap them for fish oil capsules at the same dose, Extreme Nutrition Lean R is a good fat burner for women and you wont get jitters plus being a member gets you 25% off

Re: Sorry guys but yet another plea for help with diet...

OK well the diet and exercise seems to be going fine, lost 6lbs up to now. The problem I've got today is that I feel absolutely exhausted and can't concentrate at work.

I'm taking all the vitamins and drinking the 4L of water everyday, is this something thats going to last or will it wear off.

Cheers guys

Jackie

Re: Sorry guys but yet another plea for help with diet...

ok then what is happening is that the carbs are low and the fats are not high enough to compensate now we have two options one is to raise the carbs slightly the other is to raise the fats....

add 2 slices of wolemeal or granary toast to breakfast and see how that goes, alos add 1tbsp of extra virgin olive oil to all your solid food meals.
this should raise your energy levels and your concentration levels let me know how it goes...

remember green veg and salad are negative calories so pile your plate up this includes onions etc...

The tiredness doesn't usually last past a few days, but if you felt fine for a while and now you're feeling tired, it's lack of fats or carbs as Pscarb says...it does get better!!

Now, I'm just off to follow my own advice....
