![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: D DAY TOMORROW! START OF DIET Hi PN Gotta say i adopt a very similar approach when i organise myself for a diet - i like to have everything planned and leave nothing to chance. TBH initially i really don't miss that much when i start a diet - it's almost like a switch is flicked inside my head and i go into diet mode - i won't let anything pass my lips that isn't going to contribute to my goals. That being said i have struggled to stick to some regimes - very low carbs is hell - after a few weeks of nothing but fish and brocolli i would eat the eyes out of a dead squirrel if they had sugar on them, and i normally don't eat chocolates or sweet stuff. Since experimenting with this type of diet though, ive learned that such extremes aren't always necessary, and allowing oneself more time will get you the same results without the smell of bread causing an insulin spike. How long it takes really just depends on how much you've got to lose in comparison to how lean you want to be. 2-3lb per week is very comfortable for me to do, but this is purely individual based on how big you are to begin with. I would imagine as your female you need to lose a lot less than i do right now ![]() With regards to sleep, dieting never really seems to affect my patterns much until i introduce thermogenics - take them too late in the day and i can forget about sleeping well... I find it useful to visualise what i want to look like when im trying to get lean, and employ this technique when i might get tempted by cheesburgers or pizza. It's then simply a matter then of deciding what you REALLY want more... Good Luck!!

START OF DIET I agree 100% with that, I've gone very low carb and even zero carb days in the past and for me its torture for tortures sake with very little extra results. I now try and stay 150g a day as an absolute minimum even on the lowest days.

| Getting HUGE! | Re: D DAY TOMORROW! START OF DIET ^^^ Yep, certainly agree with this one. I am having bread on this diet and see no reason why I will take it out as I near the end. I almost feel kind of guilty that I feel not one ounce of hardship, but I am getting over it with some professional help!! All the best with the diet, you'll have plenty of support on here, I am sure. J

START OF DIET Agree with the above I kept in a load of things I'd normally take out this time around and despite the fcuk up at the last minute I looked the best I ever have. What a lot of people dont seem to grasp on diet is that depleting right down normally tends to make the body hold on to fat more while depleting muscle. My nemesis on diet is clean carbs believe it or not. I crave oats and rice??????? Fat is easy (as in trans fatty foods and the like) you just keep that out.

Wasnt a big sweets and chocs person anyway and seem to enjoy quite bland food, also the protein shake twice a day seems to curb my sweet craving! At the moment i use Garnell whey protein but they guy who used to supply it at the gym has now left, can anyone else recommend a big tub that is sweet, mixes well with water and doesnt break the bank! Dont want a lot do i ![]() |

Extreme is my favourite for falvour - but isn't the cheapest. Dymatize is cheap and tastes nice, but it has been claimed its less than 80% protein. ON Gold Choccy flavour is delish.
