I do squats and lunges, to tighten and lift my rear. I do have bulky legs but mine is more genetics and bodyfat. I don't carry much fat on my top half, mine is all on my legs unfortunately and looks worse because of large muscles. Re: the protein - If the calories have been accounted for in your overall food intake, there's no problem. Personally, I reduce my carbs over the course of the day. After the gym, I have protein but usually in the form of eggs, meat or fish.
I'm no bodybuilder though, I should point that out. I've worked on my diet to lose weight and I exercise to be fitter and stronger. I go to the gym and use weights. The professional ladies on here can probably give you much better info than myself ... They are Goddesses!!

If I could do cardio at the gym without giving up the moment I get tired or bored I would! I'm very lazy at the gym so spinning is my only other option! Or I'll never push myself :(
Haha!
Sounds like a bit of jealousy to me! I wouldn't take any notice of them to be fair, you do what you do for you and not for them, you're in the right place for good and constructive advice. Dont be sad you're feeling the burn, so long as it's soreness and not pain you're fine. It's a good thing. Keep it up and you'll see the difference and I don't mean bulk! Lol.
If they think squats and lunges are going to make bulk I'd like to know what they're doing to keep their legs and bum in shape.
