Take a read of some of the posts in the diet reading board.

Essentially you need to drop the processed foods (crisps, biscuits, bread etc) and eat a whole lot more lean protein, veggies and salad. Also eat smaller meals more frequently.

Mam, drop some of those carbs (especially the processed ones) and up the protein and add some Omega 3 fatty acids to your diet.
Fish oils will work here.

The love handles are probably due to insulin related weight gain.
Now that high carb diet can spike insulin and insulin is a storage hormone.
If you control insulin you will control those love handles.

Id rather see you eat a apple than a banana, banana's are high in the glycemic index.

Low GI means a smaller rise in blood glucose levels after meals, this will yield a smaller responce to insulin than lets say foods that are high in the GI.

Low GI diets can help people lose weight, this is done by controlling insulin.

Low GI diets can improve the body's sensitivity to insulin, this will allow you to use less insulin to do the same thing. Fish oils will help you with insulin sensitivity.
More insulin is not better, more insulin is using more insulin to do its job that less insulin should be doing. This will make you fat having too much insulin.

Here is a glycemic index web site, just type in the food and it will tell you how high the glycemic index of that food it.

For instance sugar is like 100 on the GI and white bread is like 97.
The lower the number the better.

Also the more fat in the meal the lower the GI will be also.
Also the more fiber in the meal will lower the GI too.
Protein (depending on the protein) can lower the GI in the meal too.

Id also rather you eat somthing of a vegetable in your dinner too, something wholesome like Broccolli, asparagus, green beens, etc.

Those noodles, breads, nutrigrain bar, biskits are all highly processed high GI foods and should be minimised if you want to lose weight.

Also you are only eating 4 meals a day.
Smaller meals eaten like 6 times a day will rev up your metabolism.
Omega 3 fatty acids will rev up your brown fat burning machine too.
Actually to be more accurate GLA, CLA and Omega 3's are what rev up the brown fat machine to burn more.

Drink lots of water, every day.
Eat within 30 minutes apon awakening.

Some tid bits
1 gallon of ice water will burn 150 calories.
35 grams of fiber a day will burn an additional 250 calories.
3500 calories it takes to gain or lose one pound of body weight.
Dont restrict your calories too much you will only slow down your metabolism and when you go off your diet you will get fat quick due to a slow metabolism.
Restricting your calories slows thyroid function.
Calcium is vital for lipolysis (fat burning).
Without Vitamin D you cant assimilate calcium.

Sorry, I like to type
