Preparing For Kick Boxing

I'm posting this for a female friend of mine
She is preparing for a kick boxing competition in a few weeks, nothing like the world finals or anything, but she would like to know what sorts of food she should eat which would give her some added energy.

Her diet is good, plenty of salads etc, no junk food.

any idea's I could pass on ???

thanks
