![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Creatine confusion Hello folks. Now trust me, I have Googled but am still a bit confused. What I essentially need to know is, whether it's OK to add creatine (mono) to a protein shake. I have one of these every day, so thought I may aswell chuck it in there as it has plenty of sugar in it (nlarge) which is needed to help uptake. It's just that I've read in some places that it has to be taken with a pint or so of fluid, is best on an empty stomach, etc etc. Any pointers gratefully recieved. |

But off the top of my head most have a loading phase, not required but speeds things up. I would assume taken between meals with a grape juice or drink simliar in carbs would be ideal to take creatine for maximum uptake?

Mixing it seperatly with Glucose would probably be a better option, but you should still see results off it, mix it into your pwo shake

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Creatine confusion Thanks guys. I will attempt to mix it with water and glucose too and see how that goes. The consensus on when to take regarding a workout is a bit confusing too, so I'm thinking of a level teaspoon beforehand and the same afterwards - best of both worlds ![]() Don't confuse me even more with the loading debate! I'm going with what myprotein suggest (no loading) as that's where I got it. |
