Re: PhD Creatine Monohydrate

Generally 7.5g is the maximum for a natural athlete. However, there's no research been done on ASS users. I think ASS and thyroid meds could push this well up around >15g.

5 grams a day max is all that is needed.

Creatine is used to help ATP (tri as in 3) stores and mostly for after you go to failure it will convert to ADP (di as in 2), to convert ADP back to ATP (using creatine) so you have more fuel for the muscle.

I think one gets about 3 grams a day with natural sources.
That is why you dont need 10 grams as that is twice as much as you can store and you already have some in storage.
yeah i read a study only the other day that states that the body produces between 1g and 3g of creatine depending on the concentration of red meat and certain fished in the daily diet.
Hackskii & Ian - is grapefruit juice really the best thing to take with creatine mono? How about OJ or Cranberry juice?

Also i was under the impression that you can take cee powder with anything....or whilst we are on the subject is it more beneficial to take it with a specific bevy...or am i being a complete yogurt top?...i understand that you dont need anything sugary like with mono...after all thats one of the main benefits of the extra ester, im just curious if it is possible to improve the efficiency of the supplement. This read realy badly... i sound like im having a tin bath. Sry.

Re: PhD Creatine Monohydrate

Its not grapefruit it is grape juice.
That is for the dextrose which is very fast acting to rise blood sugars to spike insulin.
But if it is post workout you are insulin sensitive anyway, so adding some whey in grape juice and creatine is awesome as whey will also raise the Glycemic load of that PWO meal.

And for the record there is a injectable ATP drug called Dynacleine that I have bought here: http://www.researchlabsupply.com/Scr...?idproduct=270
It is over the counter and legal to purchase.
But it burns like freaking hell, like a bee sting, but you do tend to get used to it.

I heard to stay away from the acedic juices when using creatine but I dont know if that is just a wives tale or not.
Grape juice contains dextrose and this is what they give diabetics when they crash or go hypo.

Re: PhD Creatine Monohydrate

hi,
how much sugar is needed to be taken with the creatine?
also does that mean that taking creatine while on diet is not recommended?
and we all know that PWO meal is very important as soon as possible. but i read many times that creatine should be taken on an empty stomach and you shouldnt eat for at least 30 mins. it`s kinda a gordian knot it seems..

ohh, and probably you all know this already but i had to learn it the hard way: mixing creatine with water and drinking it later is a big nono

Re: PhD Creatine Monohydrate

Depends on the creatine.
I saw good results with V12 with just water alone PWO.

Re: PhD Creatine Monohydrate

but regarding monohydrate can we say that it shouldnt be used during diet? cause we got only two options:
taking it with sugar -> not cool
taking it without sugar -> not effective

how about taking it with a protein drink right after workout. its not really on empty stomach i know, and the insulin reaction is not as good either (compared to sugar).
