![]() | Chicken Kiev This smells lovely, instaed of the normal garlic butter I used low fat cream cheese ( from tesco, 30g = 2.3 g of fat!!!) garlic and bacon !!! With the bacon, look out for bacon that has a nice nugget of meat with no fat in it, then pull away and cut away the fat from the top and back so your just left with a nice nugget (fillet) sized piece of bacon. You can by this bacon fillets in sainsburys, they contain hardly any fat! Chicken breast 30g low fat tesco cheese spread 1/2 small clove garlic finely chopped 1 bacon fillet finely chopped 1 egg white Flour (seasoned) Breadcrumbs Spary oil In a bowl combine cheese spread, garlic and bacon. Cutr a small pocket in the chicken breast and stuff with cheese and bacon mix. Dip the chicken in the flour, then in egg white, and then in the bread crumbs. Spray a baking tray with oil, place kiev on tray and spray top of kiev with oil (2 sprays) Pop in oven at 180 and cook for 20-25 minutes....then serve!!!!yum yum! |

I might substitute the flour with a wheat germ/ground oats/lowfat powdered milk mixture for the topping. Wow, where have you been for our recipe section! ![]() Thanks bunches! Now we have to figure out the protein/carb/fat grams as well as the calories.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Chicken Kiev I like this and fairly healthy. You can get extra lean bacon which is pretty ok from Tescos. I also like cutting the chicken and stuffing it with half fat mature chedder& low fat motzeralla & soem nuts.......or healthy goats cheese, then wrapping low fat/healthy bacon around it, fry it quickly in a little olive oil or one cal spray just to seal it then pop into the over.........lovely and high protein, low carb moderate fat ![]() You can also use turkey rashers :beer1: |

![]() | Re: Chicken Kiev Depends what you mean by ok mate, they are ok to eat but the filling we be a garlic butter, so allot of butter in there. This one uses low fat cream cheese so it's lower on the fat content but still tastes good. You can do this with a nice piece of cod too! |
