![]() | Good exercises on machines Guys how can i get a bigger chest? In the gym we have no free weights so its all machines. Any tips or advice? I have enough mass so i have no need to gain any. I've noticed a slight change since doing more press ups, could that just be a mental thing? Cheers Sam |

![]() | Re: Good exercises on machines The gym has loads of machines and actually to my supprise today they had some free-weights being delievered. The machine nearest to a bench press there is a seated machine where you push forward, does that make sense? I feel alot more comfortable on machines as to free-weights as i train on my own. Have you any good suggestions on what machiens to use and also amount of reps and set? Cheers |

![]() | Re: Good exercises on machines ok you seem to be talking about a chest press machine. In my opinion, nothing beats free weights for chest, seriously. But, having said that, you can build quality mass with machines. It's an ongoing debate! But, if you like machines, use them. Load up a hard weight and try to get 8-10 reps with it for 3 sets. Use the chest press, try and find an incline press, and also possibly a pec deck/flye machine of some sort. Add those to your pressups and you should grow.

Using machines misses out all of the muscles used to stabalise the big muscles when using free weights, makes quite a difference. Just an idea Good luck whatever route you take ![]()

![]() | Re: Good exercises on machines It was the chest press Flex. Think i'll use the Chest Press then try the Free-weights once i've got a little more confidence, i'll give it a go tommo on the free-weights but use lighter weights. Cheers guys |
