*Sharp pain is this tear? *

Hello guys,

just want to confirm what i think i have done here...........firstly let me explain where it is if your facing me its just below the chest muscle tit by about 3-4 inch. I get a pain twinch there if i move at a certain angle and also press it i can feel it.

The way i done is by firstly doing a machine seated overhead press just lost technic and i think i stuck my stomach out which for some reason started to become a slight habit and the weight tranfered to that middle right part of my body thats the first time i done it. Felt a pull.

That was months ago and was not too bad I got away with that and it healed.

Now last week this time doing incline bench I done the same thing bad habit again by tranfering the weight it seems by sticking my stomach out and up this time it went again but really hurt this time!

I can still feel it now 5 days later.

I can train correctly because its not a muscle that I should be working as such, so lifting just correctly will eliminate it as a issue for it to be affected. But its my first ever injury have i torn a muscle here?

The weird thing is I have indirectly pulled something through just being lazy and bad technic i know exactly how i done and why it happened it a lesson clearly learned here.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated don't want to do wrong here...''

yeah sounds like a sort of a tear or pull of the muscle. my arm injury started coming back, when using it for db curls or if i press that area i'd feel it, started taking "Himalaya - Rumalaya Forte" for about 2weeks now and touch wood ive been ok.

check it out on a http://www.eternalfitness.co.uk in the "Joint/tendon care" section.. actually not sure if it would be of any use to u.. my advice if you want to continue training, be wise keep to weights you can control nice and slow with perfect form - if you feel the pain in that area then try switch your routine around. otherwise your lookin at rest periods of upto 7-8weeks.

keep your protein intake high ;)

Well it's not a tear, otherwise it would be agony and you would have awful swelling and probably discolouration.

I think you have just overdone it like we all do, go see a physio tbh.

Thanks for that not any serious damage thank god for that, so I've strained a muscle I can live with that and learn my lesson. Appreciate you giving the advice.
