Can barely brethe

I trained shoulders and calves yesrerday and woke up this morning with a really sharp pain under my left lat closer to the centre of my back.. Every time I breathe deeply it hurts! Surely if i had pulled a muscle training yesterday I would have known instantly.. I'm thinking that maybe I slept wrong :boohoo:

Anyone experience this?

Some muscle and joint injuries take time to show them selves

It happens when an injury occurs and the muscles round it tighten to protect the area damaged (wether its another muscle or other damage)

usually rest and an anti inflamitarty will help it, but dont train whilst taking the anti inflam

Sounds like youve pulled an intercostal or oblique muscle mate, same as straining a calf, its a pain but it wont kill you

Oh and a small hint, if it hurts to breath deeply, dont do it

I have had that before this has a name.
It can be caused from a draft when sleeping too.
It is not all muscle related here.
I got the name off the chiro and it is common actually.
I hear a cold draft can do it even if you dont lift.

go and see a pysio or a doctor if the pain is really bad and if your having trouble breathing deep it could be something different causing that also if the pain is effecting your sleep patterens as my arms did when i wrecked my triceps try every single position you can comfortably sleep in
p.s. take unc's advice on the massage go an get a full body massage as sometimes you may have a pain caused by one thing that is felt in a different part of your body

For some reason this thread seems to be attracting spammers so I've closed it.
