Thumbs up Carb loading, wow what a workout.

Hi friends,i just had to post this,50+ threads for protien and nil for carbs, imo their just as important.and please no slating here we all had to start somewhere. I consider my diet ok. But just for hell of it thought i would buy a tub,100% pure complex carbs 5lb tub well cheap. Not to sure if i can mention the brand so i won't.2 scoops =100gm flavourless mixed with a pint greentop. Jeez what a workout, didn't want to stop, this stuff doe's what it say's on the tin.Being flavourless it mixes great with any protein 50gm + another 50gm of above for a great post workout drink.
This is probably common knowledge to 99% of you guys but if it helps the other 1% then it was worth the post. stay strong & healthy. mars.

Re: Carb loading, wow what a workout.

Very true. Carbs are important for growth. But personally I'd rather load up on rice, pasta or potatoes. I bought a high carb mix before but when I tried to drink it, I'd always start to throw up. I eventually finished the tub, but never bought it again. Maybe it was just that brand, but anyone else have the same reaction?

Re: Carb loading, wow what a workout.

oat powder is great for gainer shakes and dextrose is really good after a workout. They both can be purchased cheaply and allow people to save a fortune

Re: Carb loading, wow what a workout.

All my workouts are bracketed with carbs (except on Zero Carb days...)

Oats in a shake or Rice/Spuds/Pasta in a meal.
