![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | With your rice Hey Guys, I am boiling myself a bag of rice in the morning and taking it to work, and I eat it with some chicken as one of my meals. However, it's dry as hell and I was looking for some suggestions as to what I can do to make it a little more interesting? Any good sauces or anything? Cheers. |

![]() ![]() | Re: With your rice Try adding some home-made salsa: chop up (dice) 2 or 3 fresh tomatoes 1 red chilli 1 green chilli 1 red onion 1 clove of garlic some fresh coriander Add 2 or 3 teaspoons of olive oil, some tabasco sauce and grind in some black pepper. Mix together with your rice and chicken to give it a kick! or if hot and spicy isn't your thing... Lemon and ginger rice and chicken: Chop up (dice) 1 2-3cm piece of fresh ginger root 1 clove of garlic 4 spring onions Mix into the rice with 2-3 tablespoons of lemon juice (fresh or Jif lemon), some black pepper and a dash of dark soy sauce. Hope this helps a bit. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: With your rice It does Geo. At the minute, I am cooking the chicken in an oven bowl. Firstly marinade over night, and then simply put it in the oven for around 1 hour 30 minutes. I find that this helps keep the chicken juicy, as I feel the GF drys it out? Are you buying the Nando's sauce from Tesco? The sauces I have seen in there are all marinades? |
