Because he said on a previous post that they are bringing in the range bit-by-bit so when they get a new product in they will list on the website for sale

This is it - it is something we'll be looking at bringing in, however the issue with importing protein powder that's unique to protein powders and mass gainers is that they're dairy products.

Dairy products come with a 40% import duty, and if anyone makes a mistake on the import process you risk the products being destroyed by Customs at the dock.

If we believe we can bring in Isolyze at a competitive rate, so it compares well to Gaspari IntraPro, Reflex Micro Whey and the like...then we will do...but if it's not going to be competitive then it'd wouldn't be worth bringing in, as the consumer demand wouldn't be there.

Hope that clarifies the reasoning.

All the best,

Kieran

Yes pretty sure they will be same as the US, they are not a massive brand so can't imagine them changing formulas for the UK market.

Sure BBW will confirm though.

yes but some ingrediants like Keto 7 are banned in the UK, the US formula may contain substances that are not allowed in the uk

We will not be bringing anything across that's not fine to sell on UK shores - there are a few regulatory differences between the UK and US, and we work very hard ensure we work within these rules despite the obvious difficulty of there being just *so* many ingredients out there.

This is why (for example), we don't stock any ECA products or DHEA (e.g. Gaspari Halodrol Liquigels)....although both are readily available at many UK retailers, gyms and stores across the country. We're importing Species on a tentative basis because as you've pointed out, there are issues around the importation of some of their range. We will not be bringing anything across that contains banned substances.

It's a pity that these differences exist, because Somalyze for example, looks like a cool supplement however since it contains GABA and Melatonin...we will not be importing it unless it can be reformulated.

Hope that clears it up

Kieran

Re: Special Nutrition - Dave Palumbo's range!

I looked into importing species products here over a year ago. I gave up due to the problems I had with the whey.

As you said its a dairy product and that causes some issues. Species angle is that they are top quality products and therefor, they are higher in price than most other brands. This is ok in the US but add shipping and duty, and when you sell it here you have an expensive product.

The only products i thought were worth it was the Whey and the Test booster, which has been stopped.

I hope it goes well for you though.

Thanks mate. We'll be bringing in a huge number of new brands over the next few months - some biggies too, so lots of cool stuff to look out for
