Dairy products come with a 40% import duty, and if anyone makes a mistake on the import process you risk the products being destroyed by Customs at the dock. If we believe we can bring in Isolyze at a competitive rate, so it compares well to Gaspari IntraPro, Reflex Micro Whey and the like...then we will do...but if it's not going to be competitive then it'd wouldn't be worth bringing in, as the consumer demand wouldn't be there. Hope that clarifies the reasoning. All the best, Kieran

[QUOTE=BBWarehouse;1526768]This is it - it is something we'll be looking at bringing in, however the issue with importing protein powder that's unique to protein powders and mass gainers is that they're dairy products. Dairy products come with a 40% import duty, and if anyone makes a mistake on the import process you risk the products being destroyed by Customs at the dock. Man we always get screwed by customs.. In the state they have virtuly fat free frozen yoghurt sounds like the most delicious muscle food ever! what do we get fvck all...... does anyone know anywhere to get some? |

This is why (for example), we don't stock any ECA products or DHEA (e.g. Gaspari Halodrol Liquigels)....although both are readily available at many UK retailers, gyms and stores across the country. We're importing Species on a tentative basis because as you've pointed out, there are issues around the importation of some of their range. We will not be bringing anything across that contains banned substances. It's a pity that these differences exist, because Somalyze for example, looks like a cool supplement however since it contains GABA and Melatonin...we will not be importing it unless it can be reformulated. Hope that clears it up ![]() Kieran

I looked into importing species products here over a year ago. I gave up due to the problems I had with the whey. As you said its a dairy product and that causes some issues. Species angle is that they are top quality products and therefor, they are higher in price than most other brands. This is ok in the US but add shipping and duty, and when you sell it here you have an expensive product. The only products i thought were worth it was the Whey and the Test booster, which has been stopped. I hope it goes well for you though. |
