| Who nicked my hair? | Re: Liver Recipes get a bag of buckwheat flour, add in some salt and pepper. Chuck in the liver and shake it up till it's coated all over. just fry it... use spray oil and get the pan hot. serve with whatever you like... The taste depends on the type of liver you buy. Pigs liver has a much stronger flavour than lambs liver. |

![]() ![]() | Re: Liver Recipes If your not worried about price i would buy calves liver slice it thinly and just lighty flour, season and cook in olive oil (hot pan!) If you want to go for something like lambs liver you need to soak it in milk for at least 6 hours then cook the same as calves liver |

| UK-Muscle Moderator | Re: Liver Recipes Like stated above a red hot pan and sear it quickly. You odnt want to over cook it either as its dry and like rubber. Have it pink. Obvioulsy onions go well with it as does bacon.

You can make a 'dirty rice' with them as well... add a bit of lean mince or chicken and increase the protein. You will have to modify the recipes a bit. Liver recipes will tend to have bacon in them for that fat flavoring. http://www.recipezaar.com/recipes/chicken-livers http://www.cooks.com/rec/search/0,1-...y_rice,FF.html Cajun Dirty Rice I don't use the bacon drippings nor the gizzards. I use brown rice. I like the recipezaar site because it gives the nutritional values.
