Toning exercises for upper arms...

My girlfriend comes to the gym with me and has just been doing cardio for the last few months to shift a little bit of weight. Now she's starting to shape up she's now looking to tone and the main area she doesn't like is her upper arms, she hasn't got bingo wings but it's the back of the arms she wants to firm up. Her diet is good and she runs 5.5k, cross trainer 15 mins and bike 15 mins 3-4 times a week.

I can obviously show her various different tricep/bicep exercises but my question is what have you ladies found most effective for toning of the upper arms? I'm assuming low weight high reps but what specific exercises?

Low weight, high reps is a myth. To tone you need to lose fat and gain muscle so stick to heavier weights and lower reps. Either adding muscle or losing bodyfat will give the toned look.
