Weird elbow pain?

I just got back from the gym and was working my shoulders and tri's pretty hard. Towards the end of my tri workouts I started getting a pain in my elbow when I wasn't working out. When I was doing reps, it was fine. It was just when I stopped and then flexed or curled my arm to touch my head or anything.

It wasn't so much a pain, as much as it just felt like a constant pressure on the funny bone on the backside of my right arm. It's really hard to explain the feeling. I played baseball my whole life and don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Should I be concerned?

Thanks for the help.

I had the same thing a few weeks ago... I was lifting too heavy and used bad form (which was my own fault)... so it was a very good warning sign to lighten up a bit and pay more attention to strict form.. (I slowed my reps down with slightly lighter weight and strict form and full control of the weight, but still to failure) mine lasted about 2 weeks before it eased off.. if your in bad pain see a doctor and stop training or u'll just set yourself back even further if its something more serious. If its just a small sensation put some deep heat on it to ease it.. u should be ok... but make sure your warming up properly before you start shifting those heavy weights.

Re: Weird elbow pain?

Sounds like tendonitis I get it, comes and goes and can get very painful. Does it hurt when you clench your fist with your arms straight out in front with palms facing the floor or doing reverse curls?

One time I sure noticed mine... was driving my car thats got no power steering in tight turning spaces.. thank god mines eased off now..just told me how important it is to go slow and methodical.. rather than try and blast weights that I wasnt ready for and out of control.. good luck mate hope it heals up.. when your into your training in a big way...an injury is your worst enemy.
