It goes solid and just kinda tingles, not a pain as such just not a nice feeling.

Re: forearms

I used to always get HUGE forarm pumps before any other muscle. So much so, that like on bicep curls i had to stop before my biceps were worked because my forearms just couldnt take any more.

Try weakening your grip, if you hold the weights real tight try what i said, it may work Deffo helped me.

Spot on Ah24..this is a common problem. When conducting bicep curls we tend to hold the bar tight and break the wrist so that it becomes flexed towards our body thus working the forarm....Almost as if we are trying everything to get that bar up. This tends to happen when our biceps fatigue near the end of a set and the body naturaly uses the forearms to compensate and help lift the weight.
So keep the wrist relaxed, locked straight and maintain a light grip to ensure that we work the bicep and not the forearm.

Re: forearms

Ok thanks guys this is very helpful as when i'm going bicep curls i get this pain the worst and often i have to put the weight down not due to my bicep but the pain in my forearms.

THanks

Re: forearms

i get this terrible,....

use a open grip when curling,.....

ie,..dont put your thumbs around the bar/db.....

then curl with the bi's until you feel the last few reps approaching,...

then (what i do is) sort of "spot my self" the last few reps out by curling in the wrist as the bicep tires,...

this helps by pulling in the weight closer to the pivot point (your elbow) reducing the torque required to finish the lift...and gives you a nice bicep squeeze,...

hope this is clear enough mate.,.....works for me,...
