Sore left arm

Hi All

Whenever I train biceps I get a pain on my left arm around the inner elbow area (between my bicep and forearm) Startin to really annoy me as its preventing me from training biceps properly and sometimes at all.

Been happening for a few weeks now so do I just stop training bi's for a while or can anyone reccomend anything else?

Re: Sore left arm

IMO stop training them mate, biceps are a very small muscle anyway and gets lots of work (if not enough work) from rows, chins etc.

I havent done any direct arm work in the past 6 months and ive put 1 and half inches on my arms.

Unless your already quite advanced you may even find your arms growing more by not training them!

Re: Sore left arm

Thats very interesting to know. Ill give that a go. I also keep cricking my neck on the left side and it bloody hurts! Its only been doing it since I bought a pull down machine a few weeks ago. Ive read that you should never do pulldowns to the back of your neck which Ido actually do. What dya reckon?

Re: Sore left arm

dont do any exercises behind the neck as a rule, at least not if you like your rotator cuff.

The arm problem will resolve with rest, that will mean laying off back training too. Massage and heat may help.

Re: Sore left arm

Yep ditto to sportsdr, i never do pulldowns or press's behind the neck, seems very un natural to me.
