Just done the most stupid thing!!

I was just mucking about sparring aggressively and I've tweaked my left tri!!!!! I'm soooo annoyed at myself, it hurts a bit, hopefully its not tooo bad, there is no way this is going to delay my training!

Is it likely to be bad it jus feels a bit sore and achey, I hope this is not goin go develop, I need to train!

If you have an injury and train it will get worse. You may have pulled it slightly but if you try and bench with that you could end up with a worse tri injury or a bar and a lot of weight landing on your chest. Think about how much your tris are used. Benching, shoulders, obviously tri workouts...

Only you know how much it hurts and what you are feeling, but I'd say leave it for a couple of days.

Take your vitamin E!!!
1200IU 3X a day for first 5 days or until no more serious pain.
Then maintain at at 800IU-400IU a day.

Yes, it is very important to the healing of muscle tissue and prevention of scarring. It also combats free radicals. We do not receive enough of the vitamin in our diets naturally.

Minimum amount to take is 400IU for average size person with healthy diet and healthy tissue.
It is fat soluble but with the stress we place on our bodies, toxicity is unlikely.
If you worry about toxicity then skip taking it for one day of the week.

The medical profession according to Mayo Clinic will say that there is inconclusive evidence.

I can only go by my own body and the advice of a nutritionist that I highly respect who recommends using vitamin E.

I will say as the nutritionist did. It is not a magic pill. It is necessary to have all nutrients needed for the body to heal INCLUDING vitamin E for the body to heal properly.
The body works on a priority system. Those tissues and systems and processes that are important to life function take priority so the vitamin E will be used for those processes first. If there is any left over then it will be used for reducing scarring. It behooves us then to have the most optimum diet containing complete proteins and all micronutrients needed for the body to repair damaged tissue.

Vitamin E is a great antioxidant.
