I'm directing it as this lad because he shouldn't be taking any gear FULL STOP.. His weight is very light and so are the weights he's lifting.. There's no real base there.. so imo he should stay clear.. Don't think I'm havin a go londongeezer, in actual fact I'm looking out for you as I feel youve got room to grow naturally and a the moment no real need for getting big so fast (competing for instance)!

| Looking Freaky | well lukey i was eating right.. training fine i think to be honest.. no need to go into more detailed workouts to grow i think basic workouts are fine. but im not sure exactly where i went wrong? apart from maybe taking the steds too soon and the strength increasing putting excess stress on the forearm which was once before ripped... yeh that makes sense. i stopped the cycle.. how long can i keep the gear for?? 4yrs rite?

| Looking Freaky | Im not sure if it was a rip in the forearm this time round now to be honest.. ive been massaging it for 3-4days now and chucked in creatine and keeping my proteins high.. the pain has gone.. the pain in the bone is still there wen i lift heavy stuff at work but the actual muscle strain i was feeling has vanished.. :O

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi LG, I see you have had plenty of good advice already, I think DB came close with his description of shin splints, basically shin splints is an inflammation of the periosteum (Bone lining) which keeps the bone fed with nutrients. Where muscles attach at positions called insertion points there is a great deal of stress during exercise and this lining can become inflamed and sore, even torn, similar also to carpal tunnel mentioned earlier but not the same. I think however that your pain is probably from the connective tissue, probably a tendon from a muscle which supinates (turns your palm up) the forearm. As such an EZ bar should help with your hands on the outer w so your forarms are turned slightly inwards. Basically it will be a case of experiment until you find something that doesn't hurt. Rapid strength gain could have been the cause as could overuse as your job involves manual labour. It is generally recommended to NOT do isolation exercises such as DB curls until you have built a foundation using compound exercises such as deadlift, squats etc. The advice applies for using AAS too mate so Lukey had it right I am afraid. Heat compresses and massage, if you have a physio then ultrasound might help, other than that rest and stretching gently. Hope that helps SD
