| Looking Freaky | hammer curls works for me, i dont feel so much pain doing them.. they train both the biceps and triceps right? id have to up the weight a bit to get a decent set on them but wud it have a decent effect on both the bi's and tri's? with normal bicep curls i was making good gains in strength and i think in size to.. not sure if it will be the same with the hammer curls

You shoudnt have to switch your workout to compensate for a injury btw.

If I get injured doing a certain excercise, then obviously the solution is not to do it and find one that excercises the same muscle without causing the same symptoms....I bet if I paid £50 for a visit to a sports therapist that's exactly what they'd say....lol

| Looking Freaky | well im off work as of now untill tomorow.. was stripping a car to replace the engine and tried to shift it myself... and injured my forearm even more.. its the same arm that had a forearm muscle tear in february.. gave it 17weeks to heal before starting training again in may but obviously it hasn't healed fully because its back. im 2weeks into my cycle and wot do i do now???? i cud probably get away with hammer curls.. rest of me is fine its just my right forearm and i want to continue but avoid straining the arm so it can heal. any ideas???? it's stupid i know but ive just come out of 17weeks of sitting around doing no weightlifting i cant do that again, i will if i need to but want to know if there is anything else i can do? at the moment im massaging it with nurofen gel and then im going to bandage it up for a few hours..

And maybe if you had some base muscle to work with you wouldn't have fooked your arm up. Dbol makes muscles grow but supporting tissue grows alot slower.. Stop the cycle and do one when your actually ready for it.. Your not even competing so it's merely for vanity.. silly billy

| Looking Freaky | right ok.. because today ive just been so fvckin p*ssed off and just lazed the whole day.. didnt eat much, obviously no training and i feel sh*t. but yeh il keep eating my 5-6meals daily as if im cycling and training.. and i guess i can do situps, cardio and sum leg work to keep me on track. infact it'll give my legs a chance to catch up with my chest.. they're like little match sticks :p lol i was on 12.5kg curls before feeling this pain.. when i've healed how do i go about getting back into action with the d/bell curls? start off doing low weights high reps? i.e. 4kg 20reps or something? and add 0.5kg every week and go like that? any ideas wud be great.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I wouldn't do curls straight off... When you train back, rows etc your secondary muscle used is your biceps so they get a work out anyway.. I'd stay away from using isolation exercises like curls and when you feel ready and your arm feels 100% when doing rows etc then start curling again. Forget about gear mate, for now anyway.. You've got so much room to gain.. You stated your lifts early on in the post.. something isn't right because I began bodybuilding lifting the weights you lift and I'm sure everyone here must be scratchin there heads! you need to eat more food probably mate, get some MRP's and some creatine! bang in the protein, carbs etc and I bet you'll grow.. Re-post what you eat on an average day.. Be honest! Set yourself a target for next summer of like 12 stone and just eat your way too it! I've got the motivation of competing to drive me.. Why would you want to take gear when you're not competing and you haven't reached your peak? I understand the need to get bigger but gear won't solve it for you if everything else isn't perfect...

How do people get in the state to compete then mate, or do they go all natural until they put their name down for a comp and then start on the tren and test 12 weeks out???

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | What i meant about not shifting your workout to compensate for injury is that with good physio (obviously depending on injury type) you should be able to continue as before, that is the point of sports physio; to keep you training while injured, hopefully still repairing said injury. My personal opinion on steriods is that they are not worth the hassle, money and risk, unless you are competing. I have done 2 oral cycles and gained... then lost a few months after i stopped. Despite what others may say, you need to keep taking steriods to maintain the majority of the gains; cycling etc is just a way of minimising the negative affects, if there were none then most of the juicers would be "on" constantly. Competative bodybuilding seems to be about who can tolerate the most drugs. most humans can hold 40-60lbs of additional muslce without the use of drugs, so until you reach that limit there really is no point. As for physiotherapy, my sessions are cheap as they are supplimented by my workplace, but you can expect to pay about £40 for an hour session.

FRIDAY OR SATURDAY: Legs = 3 x sets of squats, using the heaviest weight you can handle for 8-10 reps 3 x sets of stiff-legged deadlift using the heaviest weight you can handle for 8-10 reps SUNDAY: REST I work as a mechanic so im lifting things at work like exhausts, engine heads, shifting engines sometimes.. and using tools like a tork-wrench, screw drivers etc etc so my forearm is in constant use.. i think this is where the problem is maybe? Also i spend a lot of time on the computer i must admit and i txt alot and there's a rumour that all this texting and tapping at the keyboard can cause RSI in the hands which mayb can affect muscle connection tissues maybe? just a theory but could be possible - my hands do hurt when i try and write a few paragraphs (im not much of a w*nker so no smart comments please lol) but luke if you got any ideas where im messing up mate or any1 else.. i'd be greatfull, im sure i posted this all up before and was told its a pretty good routine ive got. Thanks for all the support guys and yeh ive not taken the dbol today.. should i do a pct or not bother? i feel like im wasting away.. just lost total motivation due to the fact i cant train :( can i still do rows with this forearm injury? or can i do any other back work that will also use biceps as secondary muscles and not affect my injured forearm? all comments & suggestions appreciated!! thanks again.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Your actual workouts are good to get started but basic. I wouldn't even dream of taking roids if my workout looked like this tbh with you. for example: Triceps: 3 x sets of pushdowns, it's not really enough to hit the entire muscle. Something better would be: 2 x 8: pushdowns 2 x 8: skullcrushers 2 x 8: dips That way you are hitting all of the muscle. try to expand your exercises like this and I imagine you will be hitting places you didnt know you had ![]() One other tip is to keep a log of the weights you are doing, if you think you are ready change up a wieght next time, if it's too much for you drop back down the following week. Listen to your body and be meticulous like that. Your diet is ok... I would still aim to not eat so much bread (replace with potatoes or rice) but as long as you're not fat it's not really worth worrying about.
