I use beta alanine along with arginine and taurine before I train and the alanine after, its early days but I have some good vibes from it and some weird skin irritation and tingling, it also seems to push my temerature up, will that help me burn fat? I du'no...

Re: Beta alanine

IME you need to go over 10 reps per set to get the benefit. My first spell on it was awesome but thereafter it was disappointing.

How did you dose it and how long were you on it?

IIRC I did 4 weeks of 6g a day, then 6 weeks of 3g a day. Then stopped for a holiday before repeating.

Re: Beta alanine

I use it in my pre wkt product, like it, especially when doing high volume workouts with light weight.

Ok, dosing and time frame are solid. And the source of beta-alanine was reputable?

Remember though, beta-alanine needs to be taken everyday, including non training days and at 3-6g a day. Its affects are accumulative, taking 1-2 weeks to start to bring about performance gains.

Yes AFAIK. I got one KG from a bulk supplier, so both tries were the same batch.

Sometimes buying bulk of certain powders isn't ensuring you get the highest quality and sometimes can have fillers thrown in to make up the weight.
You need to ensure that the companies have good quality standards and the products have come from a company with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)(most will display this somewhere on the labels or will be able to provide this info if requested). This ensures that what you get is usually of the correct standard and quality and is exactly what it says on the labels as they have had to go through stringent testing and audits to ensure the processes are followed correctly.

Re: Beta alanine

The main benefit of beta alanine is in increasing carnosine levels and buffering lactic acid - this makes beta alanine most effective when training in a way that normally gives you a real blistering, burning lactate pump... so when sprinting or training with medium-high reps and short rests between sets. When training this way and adding in BA you really do notice the difference.

Nice tingles too
