Can someone compare these BCAA's???

Looking at both of these, the MP version is more expensive and they both have different amounts of ingredients in them...

My Proteins

Leucine 1500 mg ?
Isoleucine 750 mg ?
Valine 750 mg ?
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine HCl) 12 mg ?

Optimums

Leucine 500 mg ?
Isoleucine 250 mg ?
Valine 250 mg ?
Other Ingredients: Gelatin, magnesium stearate

They both state that each tablet contains 1000mg of BCAA but the MP seems to add up to 3000mg, the Optimums seems to add up to 1000mg

Anyone know why or which one would be better?

Re: Can someone compare these BCAA's???

That doesn't help one bit mate lol, hope you dont think one tab is 1500mg, one is 750mg and another is 750mg, how would you know which is which when they just come in a plastic tub lol

Really, I want to know what ingredients are better than others for protein synthesis etc and which seem the obvious choice (if there is one)

Re: Can someone compare these BCAA's???

Now that makes sense lol, cheers mate. I just thought it was odd that one brand had more of one ingredient, and another brand had more of another, thought they were just filling the caps with the lower ingredients

Re: Can someone compare these BCAA's???

They're near identical.

BCAA is just a simple 2:1:1 ratio of the three AA's listed above.

As you can see, both the products have this. Now it's upto you what serving size you have.

Personally, I use Scivation Xtend

Might give the cheaper ones a go, I can see the difference off the MP ones but theyre just a lot more expensive

myprotein.co.uk will become famous soon enough
Re: Can someone compare these BCAA's???

Hi

Using the details taken from the eBay link above ON's BCAA's are:

Amount Per Capsule:
L-Leucine: 250 mg
L-Isoleucine: 125 mg
L-Valine: 125 mg

The Myprotein BCAA+ is:

Amount Per Tablet:
Leucine 500 mg
Isoleucine 250 mg
Valine 250 mg
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine HCl) 4 mg

--

So our tablet's are 2x stronger and they also include 4mg of Vitamin B6 per serving (which improves absorption).

So in laymans terms the total BCAA in each tub is:

Myprotein 90's [which costs £9.99] is 90 grams.
ON 100's [which costs £12.98] is 50 grams.

Any more questions please do ask!

MP
