Too much cardio such a bad thing?

Well as most of you know i'm playing rugby again, and this means that i have to go to 2 training sessions a week. The good thing is that im doing a four day split (mon, tues, thurs, fri) which is perfect because training is on Wednesday's and Sunday's. The problem is that i'm warried about doing too much cardio, and not giving my muscles a good chance to grow. Just wandering if doing a 2 hour session on Wednesday, and a 1:30 session on Sunday will greatly hinder my progress. All advice appretiated, #22.

That's what i thought, but when you look at all of these proffesional's, they are massive yet thy probably do 2x more cardio compared to me. I think i may have to make a 3 day split instead then, Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

I would recommend trying it for a month or so as you are.

If you feel you arnt gaining or losing weight (god forbid it! ) then try a 3 day training split and 3 cardio sessions.

Mon - Weights
Tue - Rest
Wed- Rugby
Thr - Weights
Fri - Weights
Sat - Rest
Sun - Rugby

Yeah that looks about right. I think i'll probably start on a 3 day split next week, because i've also got college from 9:00am-4:15pm which does'nt give me any time for much else. Usually do about 1 hours work, and 1 hour working out, and after all of that i don't have the energy to go out! Probably do:

Monday - BI's & chest
Thursday - Tri's & shoulders
Friday - Legs

Think that i should increase my carbohydrate's intake aswell?
