time for a change????

For the past few years i have trained each body part once a wk, I am now thinking of changing my routine from this. I was thinking of changing to training x4 times a wk day1 would be upper body, day2 lower body, day3 upper body, day 4 lower body, would prob train sun, mon, wed, fri, to allow the max time between workouts. I don't plan to train like this for ever maybe try for a couple of months and see how it goes. Would just like to know if anyone else has try ed this type of routine and what you guys think.
