compund exercises

alrite guys im new to the forum so be gentle;) lol

ive been working out 4 about a year now but ive just started to work nightshifts and and its thrown everything out of pattern! im always eiva sleeping or working at the min and im losing all my hard work! so i need to try and keep work outs short and sweet!
what im wondering is ive read on here about not isolating your arm muscles but u sing compound exercises?? has any one got a sample work out so i can see what goes with what? i know i should search first but im jst obut 2 leave 4 work :(

pick any rep range* and focus on progressive poundages. *except DL's. dpon'tgo above 3 reps set.

Here is a good website for you. It shown what muscles are brought into play for each movement. I found this an invaluable tool when structuring my routine.
