> 7 day split routines??

Hi i was just wandering if anyone uses a split routine that does not revolve round the usual 7 day week??

Can you give me any examples or experiences with such a routine?

Any input would be great

Thanks in advance!

I dont train around a 7 day week. Never really have!

I train every third day normally, a push or pull full body routine.

The same as any routine, but don't assign a day to each workout, just say how many days after you will be training.

So:

Push/Pull/Legs training every 3rd/4th/5th day etc
2 days on, 1 day off
2 days on, 2 days off
1 day on, 2off, 2on, 1off, 2on, 2off etc etc etc

Simple really

Re: > 7 day split routines??

Thanks guys!

How about for the person who is doing more of a body part split?

i know push/pull/legs is a split but im talking about splitting things up even more.

so say:

mon - chest
tues - arms
wed - /
thurs - quads
fri - delts
sat - /
sun - hammies
mon - back
tues - /
wed - chest
thurs - arms
fri - /
sat - quads
sun - delts
.......... you get the idea.

do you think the above would be leaving each muscle group too long between sessions?

cheers

Depends how advanced you are in your training...

Do you need to split that much and leave 9/10days between chest sessions?

Re: > 7 day split routines??

im not advanced and im sure my chest (for example) would have recovered a while before the next session.

The reason i proposed this is i like to keep my sessions short sharp and INTENSE.

cheers!

tom

p.s when i say im not advanced i have years of training behind me, but only 1 year of specific bbing training, which was either full bodys or upper/lower

Re: > 7 day split routines??

lol.

my only concern is that my chest (for example) will be sitting fully recovered for several days before it is hit again. this is time with no growth stimulus.

i think?

would i be correct to think that?

thanks!

tom
