![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | pilates not too sure if this is the right forum to put this in but here goes. I had an appointment with a s**t hot sports physio the other day because of an existing injury. Thats getting sorted, but while i was standing there with my top off, he assessed my posture and told me i was showing more weight than i actually have. JUst before the summer i managed to get down to about 10% bf but still had a belly, he said this would explain why. He rekons that my posture is really bad and suggested joining a beginner pilates group. I went to my gym and they only hold an advanced group which im told would be extremely hard for someone like me.My gym told me that if they get a few more numbers then they will hold a class. So im wondering, whilst i wait for more numbers if i should do a pilates routine 1 or 2 days a week on my own? I have no idea what they do in the class so any help would be appreciated! Can most of it be done using gym equiptment? cheers ![]() |

| Who nicked my hair? | Re: pilates you only need a mat for pilates..... you could try getting a video or a book. I was lucky, my gym had a class...

| Who nicked my hair? | Re: pilates I did it as recovery from my back injury... several things about it.... a) it is much harder than it looks... just cos you can lift hundreds of kilos doesn't mean it is easy. b) it requires you to really focus and concentrate. c) the class is full of hot chicks and the instructor is a babe too.. makes (b) that much harder..

My old fella does about 10 minutes every night & he says the difference in his flexibility is unreal. He's been doing it for about 2 years, but results come after a few months.
