gvt for chest

ive started doing gvt for chest just want to make sure im doing it ok.
reasons for doing chest only is that i am happy with my training for other bodyparts but my chest training has gone a little stale so fancied something new.

my first session went like this- my one rep max on bench is 150kg so i used 60% @ 90kg for the 10 sets
set 1- 10 reps
set 2-10 reps
set 3- 9 reps
set 4- 8 reps
set 5- 7 reps
set 6- 7 reps
set 7- 6 reps
set 8- 6 reps
set 9- 7 reps
set 10- 6 reps
does this look ok.
so i should aim to be able to do all 10 sets for 10 reps with 90 kg.:lift:
thanks for any help or comments

Re: gvt for chest

I would pick a weight that you KNOW you will be able to get all 10 sets of 10 reps and increase the weight by a small amount each week.

Re: gvt for chest

to be fair for the gvt program to work you need to be doing the whole thing not just the chest. anyway why look like a lightbulb when you can be a man mountain!

seriously though chest is by far the easyest of the larger gvt days. try the leg day its brutal and its got a positive effect on your whole body.

same with the back.
