![]() | breathing squats and other movements Evening all , ive been readingup on 20 rep breathing squats and there magical muscle building powers for a while now and i gave them a go for the first time today! F*** me do they burn! im not a big guy but i still got 3 pats ont he back fromt he gym giants and f*ucking well dones when i walked away from the rack just for making it through the set, thought i was gonna have a heart attack in the shower though lmao. my question is if they work so well on legs will the work equally as well on the rest of the body i.e deads, bpress and shoulder press etc? if they will im going to drop down to a 3 day split to give my body more recovery time but how many sets of 20 reps on different parts can i do in a session? i.e could i do 1x20 squats, 1x20 deadlifts, 1x20 gm 1x20 over row on monday and then say 1x20 bpress 1x20 military press 1x20 upright row ans 1x20 flye or will i kill myself?? Thanks Harry |

![]() | Re: breathing squats and other movements I understand that the legs support the body all day so they need that extra pressure to make them grow but why is it not suitable for other muscles? your hardly going to overwork them with 1 set of 20! Also why do people find they overtrain if they did say legs on mon, tues, fri with 3x8 sets but every 20 rep plan has legs done every other day and yet no mention of overtraining??? |

You have to cycle the intensity of your workouts no matter which method you use to train. Say do a 6 week training cycle of 20 rep squats then revert back to your old routine. 5 x 5 or whatver.
