![]() | After around one year of training i have now called it a day because of the size of my forearms, they are now bigger than my biceps. It seems as though every exercise is working them, maybe incorrect technique ! I would like to carry on training - any ideas? is it better to push or pull, how do i train my bi`s without working my forearms cheers |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: forearms i know where you are coming from mate, i used to be like this. every bicep excercisei did my forearms would get huge an swollen but my bi's didnt. i tried dropping the weight, doing no cheats, perfect form. until this year after 5 years training i really struggled to train my arms coz of this. now what i do is really concentrate on the mind muscle conection and i mean focus hard! do reps nice and slow but you have to feel the bicep working and concentrate on keeping that feeling. a good way to try this is by doing the excersise with no weight, nothing, just perform the movement, that way its easier to concentrate on feeling the muscle, then add the weight trying to keep the same feeling in the muscle. it wont happen overnight but keep at it and it will happen. |

| Bulking up | Re: forearms It sounds like you are using you wrists to do the work on an exercise more than your bis or tris. It is defo the technique you are using that is causing the problem. Do you find that your wrist is moving during the exercise? Have you looked into the use of wrist wraps? Andy |

![]() | Re: forearms Yeah I've always found that my forearms give out before my biceps have been properly worked, but found that preacher curls work well for me, can def feel the pump in my biceps after 3 sets of them! Also undergrip pull ups don't seem to be as harsh on the forearms as some exercises. |

I've tried this and the burning has got better but still get it. |
