T-man is on a distinguished road
I used to get a bit of pain in my forearms. I put it down to a muscle imbalance in my lower arm because of all the gripping work I was doing. So I started doing some finger extensions with rubber bands and it seamed to help.

T-man, do you mean the oppisite of gripping?
If so that would make sense. Damn, right on.

I have heard that creatine can help lactic acid buildup if that is what it is. I also read once that if you are difficeint in Potassium then muscles can cramp. Electrolytes too if you are difficient will cramp.

Yeah mate, i get this big time, especially when trying to lift heavy, usually when i have to lift dumbells into position for incline press.

I believe the one and only reason for this is stress and is due to the bodys adaptation process. Muscles are probably being grown and strengthened at a faster rate than tendons and bones are. I have heard a few people mention this and they reckon that when you have a few years behind your belt it you dont notice it as much, but definetley felt by someone in their first year or two in training. I have tried Glucosamine and Calcium supplements which are probably a safe bet but didnt seem to really help me much. This is why i am alternating light and heavy workouts at the moment.

I get it exactly the same thing sometimes if ive been doing heavy barbell curls or dealifts...... does the pain just seems to shoot along the bone on the inner forearm?

In my opinion its not diet mate,,, just one of the first symptons of overtraining.... May need some time off mate..... More aint always better.

It could be overtraining - although I feel like I should be doing more! I've been focusing on the big compound movements - and I've only done the occasional arm workout when I have had the time....

Barbell curls really give me pain so i have to do alternate dumbell curls instead.

hmm, im not a hardcore bbuilder yet like some of ya, but i get absoulute immense pain in my thighs, so bad i can hardly walk up and down stairs, and it takes me 5-6 days to recover from it. Weird thing is that it doesnt hurt in the claves, maybe cas i do 6 sets of squats!!

i get the same pain in the legs, but they grow well so it's worth it.because forearms r involved in almost every exercise, you probably haven't let them rest enough since they became sore, those 2 weeks off should solve the problem.does it feel like a muscle pain or something in the bones/joints/tendons/ligaments?

Ive been getting the same pain in my right forearm recently. Left arm is fine. Its only recently started after 15 years of doing heavy barbell curls without any probs. Ive recently started doing EZ bar curls which could be contributing to it, because of the angle the hand is at. But, i suspect its more like latic acid build up, as im also suffering from shin splints when jogging for the first time in years too.

Im going to try dumbells instead of the exbar for my next arm workout and see if that helps. If not, i`ll have to just stick with it until my cycle ends, when I should drop any water retention I have which should help matters.
