Combining Dead lift with Barbell Row

Well, in a nutshell that's what I've started doing on my Back / Hamstring day.

Good idea?, bad?. What do you think?.

in one movement????

On back days i start with deadlifts, then onto wg pullups, bent over rows then do biceps.
The deads hammer my lower back (and my grip!), by the time i've done the pullups my back's numb anyway so i don't really feel the rows, just get a massive pump in my upper back.

Yep, I perform the deadlift part then straight away do a row as well.

i wouldn't think that's too good on your back, to do a row you need to be bent quite a way forward and pull the bar high into your chest, midway through a dead you should be stood upright, shoulders back, bar at your waist - a mile away from the start position for a row.
If you're combining stuff try a shrug when the bars lifted in your deadlift - but to be honest, just go heavy on your deads, i can't consider doing anything but dropping the bar when i do 'em!!

i have never seen it, imo it would take all the effort out of the deadlift, maybe only 60% of your power is being used on the dead and 40% on the row, like if im doing deads at 150kg for reps 150kg is also a hard weight to row for reps......

I alternate then each week as I can't do rows after deads. That also keeps my strength up in both as they take a lot out of you.
